It should be noted that all of the specializations/tactical packages/and what have you don't stack. You pick the ones that best suit your playstyle.

I haven't had issues with people camping really. In fact, I've had less issues with people camping than in past Halos where people would camp the superweapon spawns and that was basically it. Made games really fucking boring knowing that 100% of the action was going to be in 3% of the map.

Ordinance drops aren't for kill streaks, rather your overall performance kill/assist wise. You can die and it doesn't stop you from getting the drop.

I haven't noticed much of a difference in the playlists that I use from past Halo games aside from the removal of the superweapon spawn camping, which is such a welcome change it's not even funny.

IIRC, he greatly preferred Halo 3's multi over Halo: Reach's, right Prof?

I preferred Reach, so it would kind of make sense that he wouldn't like the way Halo 4 went (basically expanded upon Reach's changes).

I am upset that they got rid of the Invasion gametype. I loved that.

Then it makes sense why our opinions would differ. I felt 3 was a big improvement over 2 (which was terrible, imo), but I absolutely loved Reach. Anyone who didn't like the changes in Reach would not like what happened with 4. Simple as that.

So, I've been very slowly making my way through the campaign on Legendary in between long multiplayer sessions.

I'm at a part on the third level where I can take a Banshee, but the second I get into it, I'm getting lit up by 2 other Banshees some Ghosts, and a bunch of other crap. If I stay out of it, I'm a sitting duck for the Banshees and I'm getting rocked. Taking a break before going back, because that's usually the way it works with Halo for me. If I go back to it, things just click and I do it on my first try.

Beat the game solo on Legendary. Wasn't as hard as some of the other titles in the series.

Liked the story more than Halo 2 or 3.

Found all the terminals. Haven't watched them in Waypoint yet, though.

Got all of the level specific achievements except for Mission 4. When I got the "Explore the Floor" achievement it was a complete accident. I died, and as my corpse was lying there one of the Hunters backed off the edge and fell to its death. Achievement popped and I laughed.

Time to start up the Spartan Ops episodes.

I like this game. This shit got mechs. The minute I saw that I fell in love. I typically play the 8v8 games. Also, not sure if it is just me, but the game feels faster. Halo 3 IMO was slow as fuck, this game reminds me more of a twitch shooter.

I don't think it's much faster. I think the Halo games have progressively sped up through the years though. I found that out when playing Halo Anniversary. Shit's slow, son. I think it may seem faster if you went from 3 to 4 while skipping Reach. It feels a lot like Reach did.
