Alright, so on a whim I got Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds. Think of it as a Anime version of that Scott Pilgrim game. 2D sidescrolling beat 'em up with classic pixel animation and old-school sound/music. Unlike the Scott Pilgrim game, you don't need to download DLC for online play. In other words, Mages did it right, bitch. It kinda reminds me of Guardian Heroes, since rather than moving in 4 directions, you switch whether you're in the background of the foreground and the game lets you level-up to add power and abilities to your characters. It's also a bit more deep than a standard beat 'em up (various counters and specials you can use). At the very least I recommend giving the trial a shot, and if you dig it, hop online with me bros. I thoroughly enjoy it. |
