I didn't know you could adjust monster power levels outside of the general difficulty levels. Neat.

I'm up to 73260 dps when Im buffed, 72.3k HP, and Ive got more equipment that Im waiting to expire in the AH for me too.

This is way easier than it was when I last played. Inferno difficulty back then was me being insta-raped by normal mobs. Now I don't die unless Im ganked by specials..

Yea, this game got a lot more fun once they introduced power levels. Higher power levels also give more gold. It helps that the more people in game you have, the greater your magic/gold find. I kept loling when the monsters would explode and you instantly died. That one time when 3 of us died at once....shit was crazy.

I was playing with a buddy of mine from Texas after you logged off.. He was playing on his own on power level 5. He took me into the cow level lol.

Unless the new loot system introduces a way to get stats you want, this is a terrible idea. You should never add a feature and then take it away.

I don't think it is that big of a deal.

If the loot system gets buffed up with better rolls and drop rates (which is what should be happening once the expansion comes out) then I am all for it. The game was too structured around the auction house and it made finding items a chore. Really you didn't need to get ANY magic find, just focus on gold and you can buy whatever the fuck you want.

Takes away from the Diablo experience.

IMO, it could go either way. I am indifferent about the change.

PS3 & Xbox 360 versions are already there. No auction houses were there from launch earlier this month. The way it works is less loot drops, but the stat quality of the loot is better, and more appropriate to the player who finds it. In short, less junk, more win.

And when you think about it the new loot system makes sense in the absence of the auction house - regardless of whether you think it's right or wrong that they took it away. IMO there was too much cheating going on with the auction house. There were verified cases of item duping and profiteering from that going on, as well as account hacks etc (all they needed to do was parse data and brute force your account - token or no token, it didn't matter).

fucking god damn it you hit the nail on the head there. it's too damn easy to roll in the console versions - so easy in fact, you'll be doing it even when you aren't intending.

Also, no Battle.net syncing so you can't play your existing characters. I was really disappointed by this.

No PC version so I have no issue.
