Post subject:  does anyone know what the problem is with this?

the computer had been on for about 8 hours and it did this each time an ipod or i phone was remover or plugged in also when putting minecraft into full screen and then when opening the programs in the video it did not do this before i added the fan on the side so i think i have killed the cpu/damaged it

Again, not an expert, but I'd think this is more a driver/software issue than anything else. Were it hardware I think you'd have had a problem occur earlier.

Have you tried removing whatever it was you added and tried it then?

well think i am just gonna save up to build a new one (this will turn out well) i have not installed any thing softwere wise but all i did was have a fan blowing air into the cpu fan i got higher temps and an wondering if this caused lasting damage

P sure CPUs fail before the hit temp points that cause lasting damage.
As in, your computer shuts itself off.

Dunno what the prob is though.

the computer would reset when i was running a game but that was it
