Within the first 7 days of purchasing it Within the first 7 days of pre-ordering it. The catch is that it is for which ever comes first. So if you immediately play a game, then the 7 days window does not apply to you. Only the 24 hour one. Also, it is only for EA published games. |

I'd hardly call this a one over on Steam, it's a safe guard for stupid people who rush out to buy games day 1 without no prior knowledge to how good/bad or how broken/playable or finished/unfinished the product is. If Sim City was on Steam then you'd still be able to demand a refund and Valve would have no choice in the matter. |
