A mate of mine has a chipped Wii , I didnt know this could be done and have never had a chipped consul of any type before cos I though it a little uncouth.

Anyway when he tells me how much it can be done for and then points out the games at £1 each I can't say I'm not tempted.

Any reason why I shouldn't chip it such as will it spit its dummy when I play stuff on line?

I chipped my Wii over a year ago. It cost me $80 for the chip + work and after that all games were free.. =) Except for the cost of the DVD discs. If you have a chipped console you have to make sure you regularly update your chip. If you do not, some games or updates might destroy your console. This is why you should always check the compatibility of new games and updates and keep yourself up-to-date on the subject. Online is no problem.

I just got mine done. Well it hasn't returned yet. Sent it off to some website.
