no, I'm not attacking you at all. What I'm saying is you're willing to lie and say you enjoyed the whole game just to prove me wrong. And if you're not than yes, you are easily amused. And we all know there is a difference between a game being simplistic and a game having hours of unnecessary/boring intros. Any game that takes more than 30 minutes to actually start playing is not worth playing.

Maybe if I make my post in the color red you will be able to read it properly.

I enjoyed the entire game from start to finish and know others who have.

I want to report fanboy so bad right now, but I can't figure out which post to report.

Anyways, lemme try my hardest to mellow this out... again.

@Fanboy - Like I said before (but this time a little more blunt), stop visiting any part of the Nintendo sections.
In my own personal opinion, all of your posts in this thread have just been ridiculous assumptions that your opinion=everyone's.
Only thing I think EVERYONE can honestly agree on in gaming is ET's horrendous-ness, and even with that, there may be at least 1 person who enjoys it. Big whoop.
I, as well as Heru and many others, actually enjoyed TP from start to finish. The only objection I have with the beginning is, in quick hindsight, it took forever to get into. But here's the thing, I've been thinking about that intro..
Where does it go wrong? Link starts off as a farm boy, gets asked to deliver something, and several bad events cause him to slowly start altering his motive from a simple delivery, to stop the lord of twilight.

A big jump right? How fucking gypped would any gamer feel if they decided to randomly toss any character into a situation too quickly without explaining a thing. TP took the time to tell us every little control mechanic worth knowing about that you'll encounter. Thinking through it, they did quite well. They introduced us to the story we're familiar with, but with a huge twist. They also showed us how to properly control Link AND Wolf Link.

I personally preferred that they walked us through the game like that instead of an odd job tutorial level.

@Cubist - LAWL. Okami holds the top spot in my favorite games list. Simply awesome. I also believe it's buildups that last from the beginning that have the best stories.

So even though it took forever to get into you still enjoyed it is what you're telling me? Way to contradict yourself. And thank you for proving my point.

As a reference the first Zelda had no intro whatsoever and was one of the best (I know that's just my opinion, you don't need to tell me, but the fact remains it had no intro and was still good enough to have like 10 sequels made for it).

I enjoyed the entirety of my Twilight Princess run except the beginning.

BUT, that was only because I had just invested an hour and a half or so playing through the beginning without my memory card because I'm a dumbass(feel free to quote me on that). I enjoyed the beginning on my first time through, though.

Way to ignore the paragraph after that.
Quick Hindsight. When you quickly remember something without really putting too much thought into it (or at least that's the definition I gave the phrase I just made up :3 ).
Want me to quote the post again where I said the beginning was actually interesting and laid out the story nicely so we didn't get pushed directly into random action, or did you ignore that?
:3

so which is it, cause it can't be both. It was either interesting and laid out the story nicely or it took forever to get into.

This means nothing. Game design has changed so dramatically over the past 20 years that gamers expect an intro. Gamers don't play these types of games for the sense of personal adventure anymore because action-adventures/action-RPGa/whatever the fuck Zelda is have established that it is less us exploring the world and more us exploring the world in someone else's shoes. I don't think you could make a game like the original Zelda anymore, because alot of gamers are too jaded.

I personally don't feel as if the TP intro is drawn out, but then again I clocked in 130 hours in Persona 3 and a mission in Valkyria Chronicles generally takes me about an hour each to complete, so you can see I have nothing better to do with my time.
