... I don't think ANY of you know what you're arguing about.

We're not getting any of the amazing games you're talking about at launch
We're getting...

Nintendogs + Cats
Super Street Fighter IV
Dead or Alive - Dimensions Nope. Not even. I just checked.

About 3-5 more bullshit titles.

No Kid Icarus
No Pilotwings
No OOT
No Mario Kart
No real worth in nabbing it at launch.

Needless to say, street fighting and being dead and/or alive are great experiences, but I don't believe those to be worth shelling out around $250 (which would be hastily scrounged up within two months, mind you). Especially when I've got no job, and more important things to spend my money on.

Though, that's just my opinion.

EDIT - Lemme further explain this to you. Just a little penny for your thoughts.

Around half of the great games you're talking about were slated for the launch 'window'. WINDOW.
Which is any time between release and E3 (or so Nintendo says).

Want a good example of something that was supposed to be 'launch window' material.
Mario Galaxy.

It came out damn near a year after the Wii, when it was slated to be a 'launch window' title. Just thought you guys should know this. :3c

Mario Kart, and OoT are rehashed games. I can understand Mario Kart always gets an update and a new game all the time. OoT is just the same thing but better graphics and 3D. Kid Icarus is the only good game that is going to come out for the 3DS and the only new game for them.

No, the Mario Kart game is new. There's also Paper Mario, Resi evil and a ton of other great looking games on their way.

I know the launch is bad but there are good titles coming very soon after launch. I don't think Nintendo ever said that Galaxy would be a "launch window" title just one month away from the Wii launch, did they?

It was in an interview with some Nintendo higher-up iirc.
Possibly Reggie or Miyamoto. I distinctly remember them saying it would be in the launch window though, and being disappointed on the late and sloppy release (those street dates man, they were ridiculous).

So first you call Mario Kart a rehash, and then take it back?
OOT isn't really a rehash, but a remake. The game's been ported to hell and back, but without any updates. This game allows for another quickslot, has cleaner graphics, a convenient menu system, and more. Sure, it's the same game, but you act like it's just another one of those ports with no work done on it (save for master quest). At least it isn't trying to pass as a sequel or some shit. THAT would be a rehash.

Your statements are also unnecessarily brash, and are not supported through any type of fact.
While I'm more hyped up for Kid Icarus than anyone else my age really should be, I'm not going to say that it will be the only good game ever on the handheld. Also, you seem to forget about Nintendogs and Pilotwings.

Pilotwings is being bought back, and Nintendogs only had one game.
Why I'm avoiding these particular titles? They don't pique my interest (and by that I mean I probably won't play them for very long, but I fucking want to). By your logic of Kid Icarus being new, then Pilotwings also falls into this category. I should also mention that Steel Diver is directly from Nintendo, and is actually new.

I'd suggest that you try to keep a supported argument against a handheld when trying to slander its library when we barely know anything about it. I wouldn't march into the PSP2 topics and yell about it when it's announced.

Also, no, this is not an attack on him. I would respond in the same way to anyone else. I also find debating to be quite fun. :D

Rost.
That was priceless.
Though, I should've shortened the quotes... Is it really that obstructive?

If it turns out OoT, Mario Kart and all the others are not "launch window" games, heads are gonna roll  Seriously, Nintendo.

But since I'm importing from the UK I can probably resell my used 3DS for the price I bought it for should I regret my purchase =P

I hope you enjoy importing all of your games.. Unless they're cheaper... In which case, enjoy importing all of your games!

They ARE cheaper =) But the UK is the same region as Sweden anyway so I don't have to import all games if I don't want to. And the 3DS is $110 USD cheaper in the UK than Sweden so..

Wow, that's one hell of a good deal.
Go for it.
