Cool. I guess they'll make some money off of it. I also kinda hate how the ign article's title says $100 dollars when in the body of the article they clearly say $103 dollars. Why the need to lie? I don't think the $100 dollars will stick in someone's mind more than the $103. Just tell the truth. Yes, I just wasted a few sentences on this. Anyway, I guess when they set the price of the system they have to take into account all the money they wasted on the marketing as well as research & development on both the system and software that comes with it. Maybe they're really charging you extra for all those little things that come with the 3ds. I don't know. I don't have one.

It's called "turning a profit." If I wanted to be a greedy jew like Apple, I'd sell them for $5.00. In fact, someone I work with tried that. He lost half his customers. Gotta find a middle ground, and that's what Big N did. It's not $500. It's $250. Good enough.

Nintendo is the geezer of the industry, so they're incapable of navigating teh intarwebz.

But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo was only making a profit of $50 a unit, if not less, given the extra costs that weren't mentioned by IHS.

don't forget Ninty aren't the ones selling them for $250. The retailers are. At most Ninty is selling them for $200 which is a pretty standard markup.
