Seriously, this guy has just been an absolute monster the last three games in particular. For all those people who say Sid just doesn't have the scoring prowess that guys like Alex Ovechkin and Dany Heatley have, that may be true, but he is certainly no slouch. Sid's thing is his playmaking. His passing game, is second to none in the NHL, and he's showing lately why he gets the attention he does. When Sid is shooting, he is as lethal as they come.

In his last three games:

-> 6 Goals - 3 Assists - 9 Points - Plus 8.
-> His shooting percentage has been around 45%
-> Only 2 Penalty Minutes
-> All 6 goals scored 5 on 5 (He could easily have more, but Pittsburgh's PP has been sorely missing Gonchar & Whitney)
-> Vaulted himself into 3rd in the league in goals, 3rd in assists, and 2nd in points, behind only Malkin.

Yzerman is better

Well, Yzerman is indeed awesome, and Canadian, but no, I'm afraid Crosby destroys Yzerman, already at 21 years of age.

But he's with Detroit, so that's an automatic . Crosby wins.

No way. Yzerman could have had Gretzky like numbers if he wanted to. Take a look at his early career numbers. Fortunately for the Red Wings and for himself he learned that being a good leader is more beneficial for the team than getting more points than anyone else.

Crosby is holding out too. He could easily have 500 points this season, but he decided, he'd let Malkin have the spotlight this year and focusing on being a good captain for the team.

In all seriousness tho, I think Crosby will be and is the better player, but it will take time for him to prove he is.
