Lmfao, yeah I understand he isn't the best guy in his own zone but he's definitely a team player.

Btw how's the mood there in Toronto? D:

pretty decent, the olympics provide a nice diversion from our NHL woes right now. Where are you located?

Ottawa, while they were celebrating their massive winning streak, I was watching the failure that was the Maple Leafs...

Canada has the most amazing passing I've ever seen in a game. Russia is getting dominated physically. They need to start knocking guys to the floor if they wanna have a shot.

@Tosky: We're not making Ovechkin look like a dick. He IS a dick.

@Sypher: I know all of NBC's hockey time is on USA Network (which pisses me off since I don't have the channel), but I'm reasonably certain that Team USA is getting air time. Can't say for sure, though.

USA is getting some air time yes, but they weren't on today. Finland/Czech Republic was on, but not USA/Switzerland.

My brother told me a couple hours ago that he saw some of the USA/Swiss game. That means it was either on NBC or Versus, 'cause those are the only two NBC channels I get. And since NBC seems to view Versus as their bastard child that somebody stuck them with, I'm guessing it was NBC. It was at 2PM EST, he said, which is a terrible time to air a hockey game. Not a lot else competing on the airways then, but who'll be home to watch it?

With each passing day, I become more and more satisfied in the knowledge that NBC is losing buttloads of money on the Olympics. NBC: Nothing But Cunts.*

*Thank you, Adam Sandler and Conan O'Brien

I did a search for XXI which all Olympic programming shows up under and there was no USA/Swiss hockey game. Perhaps where you guys live you had local coverage of it but out here in SoCal we got nothing.

Mm yeah, that's possible. I don't understand why they'd do that, but I can see that happening.

Oh BTW, saw this on Yahoo.

Quote:
Finally, and perhaps most surprisingly, Alex Ovechkin was pathetic, a non-factor in one of the most high-profile games of his career: no goals, no assists, three shots on goal and nothing noteworthy off the stat sheet.

Poor, poor Ovie.

How's he supposed to get points when he has to run back to his bench every 5 minutes to grab a new stick? Seriously, you have a problem with your stick provider if you break one every other time it touches a puck.
