Yeah, kids loved it, which is the main thing. Haven't bothered with Christmas for a long time, but for the kids it's something else.

Merry Chrimbus, everyone. This year was just fantastic for me, which was something I needed. Despite having to work 7am on Christmas Eve (and 7:30am tomorrow), both days have been great. A ton of gifts given between the family were things that just clicked so well, so it was great to see everyone so happy. As for the stuff I got, nothing vidya related, but the list goes: A nice lookin' leather jacket Polarized sunglasses The Hobbit book This book by a guy I never heard of, but reminded my parents of me. The dude's name is Malcolm Gladwell. He writes stuff on psychology, and it's all really specific things most of the time. His writing style definitely resembles mine, I've noticed, when I'm talking to people. The whole book is a collection of his favorite pieces that he's written for different papers and such, so I'm looking forward to reading this one. A nice winter shirt $50 Cash (total) $25 to Best Buy $25 iTunes gift card $40 Visa gift card Comfy pajama pants Little chocolate crepe things. I didn't like the taste at first, but they grew on me. I have a ton of em. And finally... A goddamn deep fryer. So incredibly hype. What'd everyone else do this year? |

kids had a brill christmas they got loads. Carl got a cordless screwdriver but he has another present coming. I got 2 dvds and a necklace that zack bought me ( he asked to borrow money to buy me a present so i love it). Hope you all had a great day, kids have more presents to open tomorrow too once we hit the in-laws. |

Does anyone remember my depressing Xmas two years ago? Got some jack Daniels fudge and a mini JD glass and mini bottle? Loved the pressies but I got fuck all, which was a reminder that my life was kinda empty at the time. This Christmas feels like things have really picked up, and the pressies show it too. I had friends all around me, I cooked a big dinner, it was fantastic. Also, the pressies I got were... Black Flag Battlefield 4 Glenfiddich whiskey Thermals Man of Steel bluray Robocop and Robocop 2 bluray Robert Rodriguez bluray collection (Machete, El mariachi! Desperado and once upon a time in Mexico). Gears of War tshirt OCP tshirt I bought myself a new oak chopping board too, from Sainsburys. It's the most badass chopping board I've ever known. Used it for Xmas dinner, and loved it!!!! |

I made out a lot better in terms of games than I was expecting to this year. I only got Batman Arkham Origins as a gift, but I had a PS+ subscription that I hadn't used, so once I activated that, I downloaded Borderlands 2, Ico, and Shadow of the Colossus. On top of that, I had a Steam gift card that I hadn't used yet, so thus far I've bought FTL, the Fallout collection (1, 2, and Tactics), and Amnesia: Dark Descent (because, apparently, I hate myself). I might get Papers Please when it goes on sale in a few hours (though I might be a little unrealistic, considering that it's competing with Gone Home, which I've heard great things about). To top it off, I got The Wolf Among Us for free on XBL yesterday, so bully for me. In addition to my games haul, I also got: Comfy PJs, a couple nice shirts, and a pair of shorts (  )$25 Amazon gift card (probably gonna spend that on games, too) The Song of Ice and Fire collection Complete Firefly collection on Blu-Ray 32GB iPod Touch and accessories V-Moda Crossfade LP headset w/ plug-in mic Cold Days by Jim Butcher Various fast-food gift cards and three $10 AMC Theater gift cards A block of 2.5 yr old sharp cheddar Cash I might have forgotten a couple things, but overall, it's been pretty nice. Spent all day that wasn't spent with family playing Batman.

I got a monster of an air purifier from my dad. Why? Well it turns out that I've developed an allergy to my ferrets over the years  It's nice to have though, and it works well.Some restaurant gift cards, a little cash from my distant relatives, a 2.5 gallon shop vac, and also got some clothes. I'm happy. |

And from out of the shadows.... HAPPY FESTIVOUS TO ALL!!!!! Hoping this year was fantastic to everyone. The Fam Thompson is doing great. So busy with my job, and traveling, really loving the new City/State!! Got $200 in GameStop gift cards, that I am going to hold onto my birthday to combine for a PS4. My wife got a jumbo foot massager, she is never getting out of. My daughter got her first REAL diamond and sapphire ring, plus $$$ for games. She got some good ones, including Fire Emblem for 3DS and the Assassin;s Creed Trilogy....I am trying to talk her into getting Black Flag...so I can play it!! lol Anywho, it's great to have some time off to try and catch up a bit on posts!!
