Guns N' Roses are gonna have to be better than "pretty catchy" in order to redeem themselves. I talk like there's more than one person, when all in all, it's just Axl Rose with a backup band.

Will Bailey is a fantastic songwriter, but I think he dug himself in too far with use your illusions. Why even bother being "Guns N' Roses" anyway? I'm sure he'd be just as recognised with a new title.

Unless I hear something about it being as good as their older stuff then I wont be going near this album. I think the only Guns N' Roses album I'll even think about listening to now will be The Spagghetti Incident.

And I say "kiss my effing ass" to overplayed Appetite and all the 12 year olds wearing Guns N' Roses Tshirts, thinking they've been into Metal as long as me. Or more so, as long as Blokeymon. Me and him grew up on that shiyat! Well I did anyway.

Spag Inc is a nice alternative to the mainstream stuff. It's nice to hear some stuff of theirs that's heavy and they're all good songs, they've even handpicked. They're just covers of the bands favorite punk songs. Just because it's nothing like the rest of their stuff, dosn't mean it's bad. I started listening to it completely by accident, and love it now.

Sero, if you want a heavy alternative with the same good talent, listen to Speg Inc. It's a ruddy good listen.

The thing with Appetite is that no matter what age range you fit into, it has all the ingredients of a great rock album.

You want air-punching anthems? Paradise City.
You want sex, drugs, rock n roll? Mr Brownstone, My Michelle or Anything Goes.
You want a soft ballad? Sweet Child O' Mine.

Everything that makes rock what it is, is in Appetite, and no matter how old you are, this album delivers, hard.

Lies is another great - side A (oh how old school am I?) live tracks from before they made the big time, side B a few mellow tracks to show diversity, with 2 of their greatest songs ever being here - Patience and One In A Million.

The Illusion albums were very artsy, and I enjoyed each and every single song on them, except for two - the alternate version of Don't Cry, and My World, both of which were pointless. Estranged is without a doubt the greatest song on either album.

Spaghetti Incident is a brilliant album - taking classics and doing them in their own style. Just great.

This album won't be another Guns N Roses album. It'll be Axl Rose and a few other musicians, with a whole new sound. I'm not looking forward to the departure, especially since it won't sound the same without Slash's dirty, greasy, bluesy way of playing, but it'll be interesting to say the least.

Yeah. It's not about age, but my mential age has gone. It moved on from ye olde GnR long ago. I just can't listen to it anymore. The only one I can listen to and really REALLY LOVE like I did when I was 15, is Breakdown. I love it and always will....

But when the rest of GnR are everywhere, EVERYWHERE because they're suddenly cool, then I'm just sick to death and I can't take it any more. They're on video games, (GTA, Guitar Hero), they're on movies ("dont ask me where cause I don't know")...they're in nightclubs, they're in Virgin Megastore/HMV...they're now POP music. Not by genre, but by popularity. I'm so sick and tired of the majority of their stuff.

However, the new song, Shackler's Revenge, I very much like. Again he's moved on, and I can't say how much respect I have for him for doing so. If Buckethead was still in I woulda loved them more, because he is a fantastic guitarist, but asal, it's not to be.

I'll try listening to CD with an open mind, but if they get everywhere, it's gonna be another reason to be put off GnR.

Oh and don't Dr Pepper owe every person in America a can of their filth, now?

Iceland supermarkets over here in In-ger-land-shire-town sell Dr Pepper in 3 litre bottles for £1.50.
