Wages range from "nowt" to "fuck all", depending on experience.

Basically, just need people to find newsworthy stories, write a one-sentence summary, throw a link to the original article, and then promote it on the official UUDD FB page using your new admin permission (FB page, not forum), at least once a day, more if you like.

Also, does anyone want to make gaming videos? Login details for the UUDD Youtube page and link to the official intro available on request.

Also also, want to livestream? Twitch and uStream login details also available on request. A separate "booking" thread will be set up if enough interest is shown, where folk can pre-book the streams, and notify when finished.

Also x3, have your own Youtube channel that has a regular feature? Link us to it and I'll add it to the afilliates section in exchange for similar.

Any other suggestions or offers or anything very much welcome.

Hmm... I could do news stories again like I did in the past. I can also do some streaming. You guys can watch me play loadout and other games though for awhile now we had the idea of a HotKocode streaming and youtube channel so we might get that going. It would be any of us from the podcast playing games. Either all 4 of us playing at the same time, two of us from the podcast playing games or just one of us going capicola and mozzarella on a game. We would also have it where we will have guests that can join in on the games. I have been wanting to really get into streaming and that might be what it takes for me to actually get into games I have never played and beat if you guys will actually watch and see me play. We can also cut up the streaming videos and throw them up on youtube with the help of someone editing them.

Now, I have a question with the new stories Carl. Are you going to bring back front page new writers and bring back a staff only news service? The general news thread that we have now isn't just used to post news and if we are going to do have news again we are going to need a section dedicated to nothing but news.

If someone wants to be a dedicated writer, then fine, I'll get a group up and give them admin power for the UUDD FB page, so they can link their stories onto FB and share them with a wider audience. I can do that.

The front page doesn't look like it's actually going to "do" anything for the forseeable future, unless someone here knows how to code php incredibly well. There's a mod that I've found that I *think* will turn the first post in a thread into a news story on the front, but considering I can't code for shit and Pie is busy as hell, ain't looking like it'll get much use other than a "here's where you can find all our shit" page.

Hence why I've just suggested that anyone who wants to can just literally write a single-sentence comment, link the story onto the UUDD FB page, and do it that way.

If anything, what with the popularity and reach of Facebook, as much as I hate to say it I think that's the best way to get our names out there. I've invited literally everyone on my friends list to "like" the UUDD page, and I would hope that some of you have too (although fairly certain I know what the answer is there). However, there isn't enough happening here to keep mentioning us on the FB page, and thats when it goes stale. I might do a bit of streaming of FFXIV on the PS4 if the beta is still up, and get my old RSS feeds up into another reader (seeing as Google Reader is no more) which should help me in writing a few stories here and there.

HotKoCode is linked on the front page, and it gets pimped on FB whenever theres a new episode.

Smokey does his own Minecraft videos, which I'll add to the links once he decides if he wants to link up and sends me a link.

Anyone know how to stream what you're playing on your laptop/PC? I might even do some streaming of emulated classics, have some fun dicking about with that kind of thing.

The best way to stream on a PC is OBS and it seems that is a good thing to do to get our name out there. The only person I would know that can code is probably waka but he is one busy man.

I can second the OBS. I haven't used it yet, but I know guys that will swear by it.

Blokeh, I'll shoot you a link to a playlist of my current videos. I started having them posted on another channel before I set up my own, so I'm still in the process of getting a couple put up on my channel, but I'm doing semi-regular updates.

I was actually working on a storyboard video that essentially advertised Hot Kocode. I was gonna throw it up on my Youtube channel when it was finished, but I think it'd live a better life on that channel (provided we don't get a Youtube page for the podcast itself, that's still up in the air; Along with essentially everything else involving the podcast right now).

We were also discussing doing a stream of Ax's game, when the demo goes out. That'll definitely work better on the UUDD Twitch. On that note, OBS is definitely your best option. I use it for my art (and sometimes vidya) streams, and it's bliss.

You can rest easy, it's not going anywhere but forward. It's just scheduling issues, and Caleb and Waka were both sick for the past week. I considered making a thread, explaining the small delay, but I figured a Twitter update was enough.

we are going to get one recorded this week. Feel free to keep sending us mail if you have any other questions to ask. I am going to be busy next week so we wouldn't be able to get an episode out if we don't do it this week and I have no clue what the end of march is going to look like. So keep your fingers crossed for this week.

If by chance we can't get it recorded I will do some live streams this Friday and get a HotKocode live stream up and running. I'll start the stream off with some loadout and then you guys that are watching can pick the next game I play that I have installed on my steam.
