I don't feel it's really possible to create a sequel. I mean, the last showed all that charlie's angels pop shit, quite possibly the worst story going. Who would want more of that?

The only thing they could really do well in terms of sequels, I feel, is if they did a spiritual successor using a similar job system to X-2, as this is where X-2 shined for me, and is why it's one of my personal faves. But then again, Squeenix try to keep each game fresh so I couldn't see them using the same engine again.

The FFIII job system was good too, though was much like V (and possibly moar).

5 had more job classes than 3 and had the ability to, as you mastered various classes, unlock more and more advanced abilities from each job that you could plug into any other class... Meaning if you levelled up Black Mage enough, you could be a Bezerker which was throwing around high level Black Magic like it was no big thing, for example. So FF5's job system was a refined and expanded version of 3...

granted there were jobs that nobody levelled, like Time Mage, Geomancer and shit like that, because ugh those outfits seriously. But it was still cool as fuck.

On the one hand, I really enjoyed FFX. On the other hand, not only was X-2 dog shit (job system aside), but I don't want more FF sequels. Give us more standalone games. If we have to any kind of sequel, make it a spiritual one and go back to Ivalice (read: the best world EVER).
