The Xbox One might be coming out in white and might be getting a price drop to $399. The kicker is they will be taking out the Blu-ray drive but they will also be giving it 1TB of storage. Now if only they can get rid of Kinect and then they can sell it for $299. Then they might have people interested in the DVRconsole.

Also, I love how fast this price drop is happening. Not that I'm picking one up for myself any time soon, it's just interesting to me (I also can't help but wonder if Sony's going to follow suit).
It's also kinda risky to pull the blue ray drive. Are XB1 games on Blu Ray discs? Or is it just a normal disc drive this time around? I can't imagine them selling a console without a disc drive, while having store shelves filled with GAMES ON DISCS.

I was honestly expecting this generation to be digital only. If MS is doing this, then Im sure sony will follow suit if they didn't already have it planned.

Digital only will not work on consoles. The only reason it does on PC is because of the much lower prices. Digital on console is currently much higher, even than some physical releases.

This. Well, I guess it's not TIED, because you're able to use the Xbone without the Kinect. The thing about it is the UI was built around the Kinect being used, so I don't see MS just dropping it anytime soon.

I always prefer when the downloads are cheaper by a couple of bucks, just to offset the fact that you're not getting any physical possession (just some data). That's just me though.
