My rules for this list: It can't be a remake and it must have been in 2011.

10: Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny. An enjoyable game that has a mediocre story with Kingdom Hearts' battle system, but it's a game that I still reccomend just for the fun characters and the hard but fair difficulty.

9: Arcana Heart 3: A fighter that sadly didn't get much attention due to its release date being the same as Portal 2, was only sold online and was released the day before the PSN shutdown.

8: Littlebigplanet 2: Same as the first but a lot better in so many ways. A must have for any PS3 owner.

7: Resistance 3: A must have for any PS3 owner like the game above. A shooter that isn't trying to copy CoD.

6: The Binding of Isaac: One of the most disturbing games I've ever played but it's also fun, funny and a HUGE challenge.

5: Dark Souls: The sequel to Demon Souls. Nuff said.

4: Zelda Skyward Sword: Not one of the better Zelda games but had one of the better stories I've ever seen in the series.

3: Kirby Return to Dreamland: A great nostalgia trip that's a great recommendation for any Wii owner.

2: Disgaea 4: The most balanced, funniest and deep Disgaea game made so far. A must have for any strategy game fan.

1: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Too much to do, very deep and... It's the sequel to Oblivion one of the best games of this millennium.

Honorable mentions and why they didn't make the cut. Keep in mind that I still think these games are great and these would be added if I did a top 20.

Persona 2: It's a remake and the load times were a nightmare.

Batman Arkham City: It felt shorter than Asylum and the Catwoman scenes felt put in at the last minute.

Corpse Party: A remake and you couldnt skip dialog that you already saw.

Portal 2: It turned into "find the white spot" in the 2nd half and it really grinded my gears.

Bastion: Didn't have enough room, if this was a top 20 this would be number 11.

Pokemon Gen 5: Same as Bastion.

OH GOD, IT'S SO TRUE.

It was a hilarious and amazing game, spectacularly well-written, and very fun to play, but the second half of it was just...tiresome, I guess.

I've only spent a couple hours, relatively speaking, with Skyrim, but I already have to agree with your assessment, Raiku. Phenomenal game, and I've really enjoyed it thus far. HERE BE SECRETSI've only gotten into Black Falls Barrow and Whiterun, so far, but just exiting the first place was an amazing experience in itself, just coming across that graveyard of mammoth bones and wondering what the hell could have turned a fucking mammoth into THAT. Fucking awesome.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who can't get into Skyrim. I played it, it's good, but I just don't care. It's nothing special to me.

As for your thoughts on Skyward Sword. I actually think it is one of the better Zelda games, just not sure exactly where I rank it yet. Waiting to finish first.

Fixed for personal reflection.

I would agree so far. For me though, Ocarina of Time is my favorite of the series. One of my all-time favorite games.
