We're totally on time guys.

We rant about VR, continue to make fun of Watch Dogs, and consider outting Waka and Caleb for not playing video games.
Give it a listen.

So you're bumping a brand new thread for the reason it was created?

>that post-credits bit

All I can picture is this.

Loved the show this episode. Loved Joey getting burned trying to burn me. Loved the comments about Joe. Didn't love the part where I forgot to submit questions. I'll get on that in the morning.

Four things:
A) I'd be surprised if the author wrote that headline, it'll have been the editor.
B) You've all taken the term sexist and forgotten to remove the social stigma that goes along with that term, a human that is sexist is entirely different from an object that is sexist. A sexist possesses a sexist attitude, whereas a sexist object is inherently sexist. A urinal being sexist is different to a person being sexist. See what I'm saying? The definition of sexist is: "discriminatory on the basis of sex" and based on the claims of the article there's every reason to say that it is.
C) You mentioned 'social justice' stuff, so I thought I'd chip in and say: Joey, you shouldn't use the word fags.
D) Joey, I appreciate your comments, I really do, but this isn't going to work, it's not you, it's me.

I obviously can't speak for the rest of the cast but I didn't take the social stigma out of the equation because I'm pretty sure whoever wrote the headline was very well aware of this as well. The phrasing of the headline was a deliberate choice on that blog's part, and if research really shows that there's a difference in depth perception between genders then there are far better ways of writing about this than just referring to a piece of hardware as being "sexist", or worse yet, designed to be sexist, which was the original title.

The reason why I don't believe the headline genuinely meant to distance itself from the 'common' interpretation of the word is because if it did, then that's an extremely dumb question in itself. If it's "discriminatory on the basis of sex" and the research is true, then of course it's 'sexist'; but is that really what it's asking? And either way the headline fails to address the bigger issue—the idea that this is inherent to how we perceive depth rather than it having anything at all to do with Oculus or the team behind it, which, once again, is what it suggests. Either way I saw it as being poorly phrased, and thus saw the inclusion of social stigma to be intentional. So I took it that way.

I thought of bleeping it out but kept it partly due to knowing Joey meant it as a joke, although that doesn't excuse it. We want to be ourselves when we record but definitely don't want to cross any lines when it comes to gathering in more listeners who might not like us cursing like that so thanks for pointing it out :)
