King Of Fighters XII get console specific game modes

SNK's series King Of Fighters has been a constant rival of the Street Fighter series for a long time, and was even the inspiration for the latter's pink-gi'd Dan. But now it would seem the inspiration is flowing in the opposite direction.

Recently, SFIV saw the release of the Championship Patch, which allowed 360 players to view replays of fights, whereas the PS3 version only allowed you to rate matches you were spectating.

And now, KOFXII will release with similar differences - the PS3 version will have an option to form a Clan, and the 360 will have online ranked matches, as you can see below.

Now, this begs the question - will this be a standard, unchanging decision across platforms, or are SNK trying to rob us like Namco did by offering the game modes as DLC?

I sincerely hope not, as SC4 ruined the reason for buying one version over another by having each of the platforms exclusive character available as DLC on the other machine, going against the feeling you got when all three versions - PS2, Xbox and GameCube - had their own exclusives and bragging rights.
