PC going Green, Man.

Green Man Gaming is a new digital download site offering trade-ins on customer's used games.

Launching in March Green Man Gaming is a digital gaming platform for PC. It is set to initially offer 400 games for purchase.
At first glance this seems unimpressive, but what sets the new platform apart is the ability to trade in old code towards new games. Traded games will then be offered as pre-owned to customers at a reduced price with a cut of the sale going to the developer.
It is an initiative designed to encourage consumers to try a greater range of games and genres in the digital space says COO Gian Luzio. Green Man’s model is the idea receiving something for their old games encourages customers to continually purchase new releases and take more risks in their choices within an environment that benefits parties involved.
“What we are proposing is something where everyone benefits in perpetuity. Every time that game is sold and re-sold, the publishers and content owners will receive royalties.”
Green Man promises worldwide distribution with international developers support and insists that games will not all be the kind games you would expect to find in a bargain bin.
My only concern, is the condition of their used games… I don’t want code some 8 year old has been sick in.
